Our Materials

At PUDU DESIGNS, we want to be good stewards of the earth. Part of our passion is to ensure that the people, animals and the environment are at the forefront of our minds from the design stage to manufacturing to distribution to our customers.

To achieve this goal, all of our materials are mindfully sourced and every product is ethically crafted.

Cow leather is crafted from the animal skin of the cow. The leather used in our products are a by-product of the meat industry.

PU leather is a synthetic and artificial leather created from polyurethane, a plastic, that imitates the look and feel of real leather. PU is a greener alternative to PVC leather in both production and after care. The composition of the PU leather that PUDU DESIGNS uses is in compliance with the EU REACH regulation (EC) No 1907/2006. It is also vegan since there are no animals or animal by-products used in the material or in the manufacturing process.

Microfibre leather is made using a small amount of polyurethane and ultra-fine bundles of synthetic microfibres. These materials are blended together to imitate the look and feel of real leather. Similar to PU leather, microfibre leather is vegan friendly, strong and durable.

More recently, we are testing fruit skin fibres and other eco-friendly materials to push the boundaries even further with our materials.

Every PUDU DESIGNS masterpiece is a result of our efforts to create socially responsible luxury goods. They are not made to last a single season but are intended to last many years as a staple of your wardrobe. This is just the start for PUDU DESIGNS and we are continually seeking ways to improve our production process and materials in the hopes of obtaining optimal sustainability.
